9th House:
Ninth house is the second and most significant Trikona or the trine house. It is also the last Dharma house and is known as the Bhagya Bhav or the house of your fortune and luck in Vedic Astrology. It is considered to be the most auspicious house in the horoscope which primarily deals with wealth, social prestige, material abundance and wisdom. Above all spiritual insight coupled and divine blessings. Planet Jupiter the “Guru Bhraspati” is the Karka or the significator of this house.
It represents one’s religious intent, honesty, ethos, conduct, higher learning, spiritual values and inclinations. It explains one’s religious beliefs, philosophical bent of mind towards generous and charitable deeds. Study of philosophy, psychology spiritual texts understanding the higher dimensions of cosmic existence enabling one’s path to spiritual liberation is also seen from here. The strength and nature of the house lord and planets placed here decide whether the results will be favorable or not.
This house talks about the father, relationship with him, his influence on a native, the mutual luck derived from each other and his financial status. Besides the father, it also signifies one’s mentor or Guru in life.
This house also tells us about long distance and foreign travels, pilgrimages, inventions, research, discovery, and exploration of the metaphysical. It defines relationship with brother, brother’s wife, brother in law and grandchildren.
Ninth house stands for your inner core, morality, knowledge, beliefs, meditation, philanthropic activities, practicing Vedic and Yogic doctrines as a philosophy of life in search of the Truth. It most importantly shows good karmas earned in previous births and their reward in this life.
